Je n’ai pas publié de texte avec mon billet hier, car nous sommes sortis de table assez tard et nous avions un réveil pour 4 h 45 ce matin pour aller sur le site pour voir le lever du soleil…je devais aussi travaillé mes photos, car lorsque nous sommes arrivés sur le site hier, le ciel était vraiment ennuagé et avec le contraste des montagnes, j’ai cru bon d’utiliser la technique HDR pour produire mes photos…donc un peu plus d’ouvrage que d’habitude.
La journée hier matin a commencé encore avec une parade dans le même village que celle de dimanche…le problème c’est que la parade était sur la rue principale et tous les touristes qui allait prendre le train pour Machu Picchu était poigné sur le bord du chemin…il faudrait qu’ils trouvent une manière de faire travailler le monde le mardi pour éviter les parades religieuses qui embêtent les touristes…8^0…un gars patient comme moi qui ne s’inquiète jamais d’être à l’heure…qui ne fait pas du sang de cochon quand les choses ne tournent pas ronds…on relaxe…yeah right…8^)
Pas trop loin du village de Ste Anne de la Parade (Ollantaytambo), on a pris le train pour Machu Picchu… les rails nous mènent vers la jungle…on suit la fameuse rivière qui a causé tellement de problèmes au mois de janvier…il y a quelques maisons…des poules, des coqs…8^)…puis on arrive au village où tous les gens qui vont à Machu Picchu prennent l’autobus pour monter au sommet de la montagne…la ride d’autobus dure 25 minutes où l’autobus monte constamment…faut pas avoir le vertige…8^)
Après un bon lunch, on entre dans le parc de Machu Picchu et là on est tout simplement émerveillé par la splendeur et la grandeur du site…un spectacle qui en met plein la vue…je crois que l’altitude affectait mon sherpa, car tout à coup elle s’est mise à transporté mon équipement…je dois avoir un sherpa de montagne, pas un sherpa de mer…nous avons passé quelques heures sur le site à faire de la photo…bien que le ciel était ennuagé, les opportunités pour la photographie étaient incroyables…une chance…comme vous pourrez voir!
Ce matin à 4 h 45, ça tombait comme des clous…pas de soleil…pas de lever de soleil…pas de randonnée jusqu’à la porte du Soleil…comme dirait Sol, que va-t-on tu faire…eh bien à l’hôtel, au sommet de Machu Picchu, où on demeurait, il y avait beaucoup de colibris…superbe opportunité pour les photographiés en action…c’était la première fois que j’avais la chance de photographier des colibris…superbe…8^)…je publierai quelques photos plus tard…avec très peu de texte.
I didn’t publish any text with my shots last night because we finished dinner pretty late and we had a very early wake up at 4 :45 AM to go see the sunrise on Machu Picchu…also since the skies over Machu Picchu were pretty cloudy, I decided to use HDR techniques for my shots which means I need to do a bit more processing on my pictures…
The day yesterday started with another parade in the same village that we had visited on Sunday…the problem is that the parade was on Main street and it blocked all the tourists that were going to take the train to Machu Picchu… we were stuck on the side of the road…they really have to figure out a way to get these folks working on Tuesdays to avoid religious parades that get in the way of tourists getting where they want to go…8^0…but for a guy like me with a lot of patience and who doesn’t worry about being on time…and, doesn’t really get upset when things don’t go as they should…and simply relaxes…yeah right…8^)
Not too far from the village of Ste Anne of the Parade (Ollantaytambo), we took the train for Machu Picchu…the tracks carry us towards the jungle…we follow the river that caused so much problems in January…se saw a few houses…chickens, roosters…then we arrived in the village where you board buses to get to the top of Machu Picchu…the ride takes 25 minutes…you go up and up and up…you don’t want to be afraid of elevations…
After lunch, we entered the site of Machu Picchu and were greeted with a view that takes your breath away…an incredible show…I think that altitude affected my Sherpa because all of a sudden she started carrying my equipment…I must have a mountain Sherpa, not a sea level Sherpa…we spent a few hours on the site and even if the skies were cloudy, the photo opportunities we’re unbelievable…a good thing…as you will see!
This morning, we woke up at 4 :45 AM to catch the sunrise…it was raining…a lot…no sun…no sunrise…no climb to the Sun Gate…what is one to do…well at the only hotel at the top of the mountain, where we were staying, there are a lot of hummingbirds…so I had a great opportunity to photograph hummingbirds in action…I had never done that…these little creatures are fast…it was superb…8^)…I will be posting shots later…without too much text on the blog.
